Project Description: Wreal, LLC, offers a Video on Demand (VOD) & broadcasted video
(Live TV)services over the internet throughout the USA and Canada. Wreal approached
The Skins Factory to create not only their brand identity, but the entire user experience for
their upcoming set-top box ? everything from the look and feel of the interface to
advanced search methodologies.
When Wreal first approached our studio, the working name for their yet-to-be-announced
service lacked the "punch" one might associate with a radical new adult entertainment
service. It was crystal clear from the beginning that they needed a name that would stand
out in a marketplace clamoring with companies and services competing for attention. Jeff
Schader, The Skins Factory's CEO, came up with a name that was not only a perfect fit, but
one that actually had an available domain name (not an easy task) ? FyreTV?. Catchy,
easy to remember, and a sure-fire hit with the target demographic.
Once the name was agreed upon and the domain secured, The Skins Factory?s Creative Director, William Bart, was challenged with developing an identity that spoke to a slow,
burning passion rather than pyrotechnics. By utilizing a licking flame and precisely the right
typeface, he created an identity so hot and sexy that it drove the look and feel of the entire user experience.
The Skins Factory then began development on the entire application user interface. From
designing application iconography to the full screen GUI. TSF also developed the FyreTV TV
Guide, the account and login screens, settings panels and even the icons and placement
of functionality on the hardware remote. The results as Wired.com states in a recent
review, is a ?super slick interface?.
